Flowing River Sangha (FR), founded by Sr. Barbara Craig, is where I received Dharma transmission from Sensei ZhiSin Pollyann James in June 2022. I am also a student of Rev. Edward Sengetsu Sullivan, a Soto Zen Priest and Sensei at Red Rose Sangha.

Serving as a Sensei at FRS, I received the Dharma name Gessho meaning moonlight. This name was given to me to represent being a light in the darkness. This represents my life personally and professionally as a licensed professional counselor with certification in grief, trauma and EMDR.

A spiritual person from childhood, I worked in a rectory as a teen. In my 20's. I began my meditation practice through yoga. I have always loved nature and being active through some form of exercise. Currently, I enjoy road biking and yoga. In 2023, I graduated from Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach's Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP). In 2025, I became a novice Zen Priest by Rev. Ed Sengetsu Sullivan.
