Tim Bokushu Tucker first attended an ‘Intro to Zen’ session at the Village Zendo in November 2007. He received the precepts from Pat Enkyo O'Hara, Roshi, in August 2009. Bokushu began koan study and also joined the Sing Sing Correctional Facility sangha during 2010, both under the guidance of Randall Ryotan Eiger, Sensei. He received Dharma transmission and Lay Preceptor ordination from Ryotan Roshi in July 2022.

Bokushu is a nationally certified teacher of the Alexander Technique. He lives and teaches in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City.
