Michel - Plein Ciel - Oltheten (1954) started to practice zen meditation in 1993 with Catherine Genno Pagès Roshi and received dharma-transmission (shiho) from her in 2014. He is the resident teacher of the Zen Heart Sangha of the Netherlands, a lay sangha, and teaches the practice of just wholeheartedly sitting (shikantaza), koan study and council circle practice.
