Rebecca Museido Hawes (Sensei Rebecca) is a dharma successor of Sensei Bob JinGen Ertman, and became empowered to teach and transmit the dharma in the lineage of the White Plum Asanga on May 11, 2024. She became a Lay Preceptor through JinGen Ertman, Sensei after receiving the Zen Peacemaker Precepts at One Heart Sangha in May, 2023. She is a member of the Zen Peacemaker Order having completed the cohort training in July, 2025. Sensei Rebecca is actively engaged in Householder Life. Her Zen teaching approach? Everyday life is practice, there is nothing missing. “Awaken! Awaken! Take heed…do not squander your life!” When she’s not sitting with her sangha, you’ll find Sensei Rebecca drinking way too much coffee, walking the local woods, hills and beaches, and, playing board games alone or with family and friends.
