Martine Taikai Palmiter is an authorized Zen teacher in the Soto Zen and White Plum tradition, receiving transmission in 2019 and is a preceptor. She founded Joyful Mind Zen Community in 2023 after studying with Sensei Rosemary Dougherty of One Heart Sangha for almost 20 years. She offers weekly Zazen, Zazenkai and Sesshin, and co teaches with Sensei Bill Jian Dietrich and Sensei Jan Jinkai Gary. She also founded the Tea Ladies Women's Sangha in 2017 and holds an annual women's sesshin, and monthly online women's practice with koans and stories of women ancestors.
